You know how there’s a reason for every rule? Well, our in-house legal scholar has advised us that we should maybe give folks a place to address their complaints … traditionally, people understand that as long as you are telling the truth then you really don’t have a pot to piss in, in Oregon … so this exchange occurred on Facebook on February 26, 2025:

Erin Purchase: The hundreds of children that I have helped and families that are still in life today 13 years later are the beacon and hopes in my life. People like you are the people who make me regret becoming public and becoming an activist for the greater good. People like you scare me. People like you are why I went and got a concealed carry permit because I don’t know what you are capable of. You are absolutely mentally ill and I hope you get the help you need and please stop stalking me and harassing me. I will be reaching out to an attorney and the police thank you.

Pendletonian Times: With the intent to kill, injure, harass, intimidate, or place under surveillance with intent to kill, injure, harass, or intimidate another person, uses the mail, any interactive computer service or electronic communication service or electronic communication system of interstate commerce, or any other facility of interstate or foreign commerce to engage in a course of conduct that places that person in reasonable fear of the death of or serious bodily injury to a person, a pet, a service animal, an emotional support animal, or a horse, causes, attempts to cause, or would be reasonably expected to cause substantial emotional distress to a person … but you have a concealed-carry permit because of scrutiny? Pendleton Police Department …

Purchase: Actually you scare me. I don’t know you, I have no reason to be in your thoughts, I was not involved in the city’s decision nor do I even care. I have not been to a city council meeting in over 8 years. I don’t know why you have the motivation to find all the public information you did and tie it all together to harass me. I am the one that’s actually afraid of you. Please leave me alone.

James Hehn: Then block me. But it’s wrong what you did, as far as the VICE episode is concerned. Because, if I had transcribed your own words and then spun them in a “positive” light you wouldn’t have a problem; but how are alternative medicine experiments on a minor ethical? Put it in an email and send it to us else leave my fine Internet alone!
I haven’t been to your little store since at least 2018 … so a stalking charge won’t work on me because I don’t go near you nor do I frequent your neighborhood nor do I even know where you live. You got mad because you couldn’t comment on a Facebook post that had two words resembling your name in it. If you were scared, then you’d block me and call the police, who have all [of] my phone numbers … but I maintain that you’ve mentioned owning a firearm because of “people like you.”
So what? You’re going to shoot me because I didn’t say what you want? You’re just lucky that I couldn’t find that video of you harassing City of Pendleton staff back in the day because spraying weeds causes cancer or some sh*t like that, someone told me … did you have any brothers or sisters that lived?
So now … we have to publish our Letters to the Publisher email address publicly, so people know that we care about what they have to say because they’re special … all submissions become our property and may be edited for length and content:
