What follows is the opinion of a Pendletonian voter. The opinion provider was told to speak their mind regarding the International Women’s Day march in Pendleton that meets at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in front of Pendleton City Hall. We did not censor the speaker’s expletives because we feel that they add to the statement and are an accurate representation of the sentiments expressed. Reader discretion is advised.
Well, I don’t know why they’re demonstrating and they say to resist for women’s rights? Well, the issues are voting: I can vote. Issues are earning money to support yourself: I can earn enough money to support myself, which allows me to buy a house, I’ve purchased two automobiles, I’m able to purchase my own food, what else is there? I have access to health care, if not through my job but through other means … I don’t go to the doctor for “no reason at all,” I go to the doctor when I need to, only.
The thing I disagree with and that I feel that they are resisting against is one topic and that is abortion. They want to be able to kill babies, which I am against and I wish they wouldn’t include women as “all of us” … but call themselves what they are: “feminists.” They hate men … they allow families … Susan B. Anthony was against the family … and that’s my statement. I don’t know what other issues they have to bitch about?
